Community Seminars
One of the major goals of the CVAC Education Program is to prevent sexual assault and domestic violence. A crucial element in achieving this is through engaging the community in discussions, events, mentoring, and cultural changes. Our Community Seminars are designed to address not only sexual assault and domestic violence, but the ways society as a whole can prevent them from happening:
redefine series: Challenges male gender stereotyping through guest speakers, events, and discussion
Mainstream Influence: Examines the general media influence on society, children, and crimes
Primary Prevention Planning Committee: Creates way to increase awareness of these crimes and their contributing factors; Unites community members and professionals for cultural change
